    Introverted superheroes

As an introvert, I can’t help but think about my hidden talents and gifts. And as an advent comic book reader I couldn’t help to review old comics like Jean Grey from X-men, The Incredible Hulk, Spiderman, and Batman. I’m sure I’m missing quite a few other heroes, but the connections are there and could be analzyed a bit further. For instance, how introverted superheroes are extremely sensitive, intelleigent, powerful, and, potentially, deadly beings/mutants. These superheroes can also encourage people who don’t necessarily enjoy being social that they can explore and utilize their gifts and/or talents and should contribute these ‘powers’ to the greater society.

    • An extremely interesting topic. It's intriguing to wonder how a hero can be quite introverted, and have a greater effect on the surrounding world as well. It's a point to make that introverted characters may have extroverted personas, kind of like mask or 'another identity' that masks their inner one. Could make them ambiverts or really great actors. I'd want to explore the dynamics of lesser-known heroes as well. – HollyDavidson 7 years ago

    • Essentially, most superheroes are introverts in their public lives in order for them to be able to maintain a balance between their multiple roles. A good topic which would make for an interesting read. – Vishnu Unnithan 7 years ago

Mamchester By the Sea was a humerous melodrama that I surely enjoyed. I’m glad that Michael Bay was able to illusrate something so real and explored through such realism such as humor, pain, and how life proceeds after major characters in our lives pass away.

How Manchester by the Sea Turns Social Realism into Social Feelism

When I discovered books by J. R. R. Tolkien, read Thor comics and, and listened to Melodic Death Metal bands such as Amon Amarth, I researched the meaning behind these stories. Come to find out it was based on Norse Mythology. I find it interesting just as much as Greek and African mythology. Poetic Edda is another cultural piece of literature that reflects in J. R. R. Tolkien’s books and Dwarf Runes which derive from Celtic Runes. In Texas, it is a requirement for students to read Beowulf which is a great introduction to understanding Norse mythology and the leading stories. Great article!

This is an interesting article. Honestly though, if these villains and superheroes were more so present in the comics, including the movies, the masculine/hourglass figure wouldn’t be conceived so highly the norm. I’m sure many are familiar and oblivious to the fact there are obese/plus-size characters in comics, but we love the to see the muscular/hourglass types. I think if illustrators made the plus size and overweight characters look as a beautiful as the fit ones then the readers would become aware of the many shapes and sizes. Furthermore, if comic illustrators did this then they’d be somewhat stepping out of the fantasy realm by bringing other body figures into the spectrum. This is a great topic everyone can relate to!

    Overweight Superheroes and Supervillains

I completely agree that Guitar Hero and Rock Band will not survive in the market for as long as it did in the early 2000s. I believe gamers who played one or both video games will also contend that the merchandise no longer offers a fun and challenging mode. My biggest issue is the button configuration; there are three buttons instead of five for Guitar Hero’s guitar. This style has literally frustrated gamers who have played these games before the newest version came out. Not only is the guitar’s configuration frustrating, it also lacks a sense of how to operate a legitimate guitar. Many friends of mine who were influenced to begin playing an instrument because of Guitar Hero. The tracks that Guitar Hero and Rockband chose are, however, phenomenal. I understand that with time comes change, but sometimes new isn’t always better.
