In what genre or medium are you planning to discuss? Is this in relation to comics, anime, video, literature - if so within what specific genre area? Each of these actually has its own traditional structural elements, narrative devices and tropes that shape its particular format. This is too broad at this stage. – SaraiMW6 years ago
