Explore cosplay as an art form.

This is an interesting one because there are a few avenues that you can take. I am sure that there can be some adjudication of how closely it represents a character, how good the fabrication is and the use/choice of different materials. – DClarke 9 years ago

This is a great topic! It would also be interesting to examine where cosplay came from and how it has developed over time. One might also consider the diversity of cosplayers' intentions. Some might be looking to make money, some might want attention as serious artists, and others may just do it for fun. – Nicole Williams 9 years ago

I have recently read online that some cosplayers are now charging people for photos at Comic Con and similar conventions. This may also be a good point to add! – Samantha Brandbergh 9 years ago

I don't think cosplaying gains enough recognition for the amount of hard work and artistic talent it takes to pull off, I think exploring it as the art form it is would be a really great way to expose just how much skill the process takes. I've also actually just read an article recently about a cosplayer named Angela Bermudez who was scammed and left in another country with the false promise of having her attend a convention as a guest. Might be worth the read. – pixiemina 9 years ago

Jul 15, 2015 Marshal Awesome article. Great insight. You are completely correct in your analysis. Balance is about both sides (dark and light) being equal. I’ve always kinda wondered what the jedi were expecting to happen. Was balance for them actually being the only ones because far as they knew the sith were no more. Jul 15, 2015 Marshal Huge fan of most things animated. I believe all animation can be enjoyed by adults it just depends how one looks at it. The cartoons made for kids can be enjoyed by adults but the opposite isn’t true. Your right about production companies trying to walk the line between adult and kids content turning out horribly. Pick a target (adults/kids) and go for that. With the writers, directors, and everyone else that produce a cartoon being adults there will always be some part it for an adult mind to analysis. Jul 15, 2015 Marshal I love the entire Star Wars franchise. I think Clone Wars and Rebels are key parts of SW education. This “Flashback” viewing strategy you’ve suggested is an awesome idea. My wife has only watched 2 out of the 6 movies but is interested in learning more. I was trying to figure out the best strategy for teaching her and changing up my own viewing order till I read this. You’ve written an great article. I feel Clone Wars and Rebels enhance the Star Wars world immensely. They shouldn’t be passed over by anyone gearing up for Episode VII	How to Watch Star Wars
