An interesting list. I have been looking forward to seeing several of them. Blue is the warmest and Nebraska most of all.
Despite what Hollywood wants to think, I still don’t buy into the hype over 3D. It failed to really capture the market 50 years ago, and unless it can make greater inroads to the home theater market, I don’t see it saving the industry.
If they continue to rely on gimmicks rather than simply making decent films, Hollywood will never really survive the onslaught of the internet. So Lynch etc can just learn to live with it, I guess.

I was a Space: 1999 fan in my youth and having recently watched a few episodes on line, I can say they hold up surprisingly well.
I can highly recommend them!

I am not a fan of ‘speculators’. The people that buy something of value with the intention of selling it later bug me, so the idea of having a first edition as a keepsake is far more appealing.
We have so many old books in the house, it often feels like we are running a shelter for wayward books, but I wouldn’t have it any other way.

AM lost me fairly quick for many of the reasons above. It WAS a bit too preachy, but it also didn’t flow very well compared to most other Lemire works.

Fun article. Having been watching for a long time, cancellations of shows that only I liked has become commonplace (Doctor, Doctor, and one?)
It is when the show hits its stride too late to fend off the ax that I get bummed. Shows like Star Trek Enterprise were just getting good when it went ‘poof’!

We pay far too much attention to her. In 10 years, assuming she is still a music force to be reckoned with as she is now, THEN we can debate the finer details of her art.
At this point though, her music does exactly what it is intended to do, be pop and nothing more.
