Films we like despite a fundamental ideological disagreement

So, for example, I’m an atheist, but I like the film Constantine (2005) even though it treats the Christian understanding of god, heaven, and hell as actually real. I choose to see the film as a kind of Fantasy film, in the same sense that Harry Potter treats magic as though it were real. I love the atmosphere of that film, and some of the supporting roles are excellent, especially Tilda Swinton, and Peter Stormare as an awesome interpretation of the devil.

  • Other films that start controversy regarding religions inaccuracies is Passion of the Christ, Noah, and The Last Temptation of Christ. – Aaron Hatch 9 years ago
