Programs like Man Finds Food or Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives present meals in very excessive forms. As a result, they glorify food in its presentation/texture to an exaggerated scale. Why do such programs do this?
It might also be worth exploring how the meals are not only excessive in these shows, but even the most simple dishes are enormous beyond need - particularly in shows based in the US. – Hannah Spencer9 years ago
Another such show to consider would be Man vs. Food. I can understand undertaking a challenge, but I've never understood why one would want to willingly eat so much at once. – BethanyS9 years ago
