Multiple Endings to Video Games to Binary Endings.

In the wake of the end of Telltale and the Walking Dead, I feel it’s a good time to consider whether the existence of interactive stories has a place in media today. Does the audience want the power to construct its own narrative – even though most play to avoid the bad ending? Does having multiple endings relive the pressure off narrative writers in delivering the appropriate ending? And can series continue after multiple endings for a season?

  • I would include other video games that contain multiple endings and see the influence they had on the video game industry. – BMartin43 5 years ago

  • I think this is a really interesting topic, one worth researching and analysing. It made me think of Black Mirror's episode 'Bandersnatch' which is an interactive film and something which I personally haven't had seen before! – Kaya 5 years ago
