Analyze the use of unreliable narrators as a plot device. Look at examples from literature that have used this, and explore how it can help and/or hinder storytelling.
This is a great topic. There's a book called "How Fiction Works" by James Wood, and in it, he claims that unreliable narration is often more reliable than it appears to be. It'd be interesting to see an analysis that considers unreliable narration both unreliable and reliable. – S.A. Takacs9 years ago
