What is the toughest part of the writing process?

What is the most difficult part of the writing process in your opinion?

  • This could be a nice opinion piece, but right now, it reads more like a survey than a prompt for an article. Think about why it's important to answer this question and what kind of answers would be valuable to read about. – TheCropsey 6 years ago

  • Probably trying to reach a word count. It's difficult to know how long a story will be based on the outline, and if it comes out too short it's difficult to add in extra scenes without them seeming pointless or out of place. – Ezra Chapman 6 years ago

  • I think the title needs to be reworked. The toughest part of writing might refer to different parts of writing (something) to different writers. I guess the aim here is to break writing down into parts. – Joseph Cernik 6 years ago

  • This is relevant topic due to writer's block being a near literary 'epidemic,' but what are your thoughts on the topic? Where did your question stem from? In order to write a piece, you need to provide one with a "jumping off" point so that the writer can build upon your point, or showcase a contrasting view. – danielle577 5 years ago
