Yes, this is incredibly vague, but that's easily fixed. I'd love to see an article that delves into one of the biggest advantages of the graphic novel: it's gotten young readers interested in books, in a new way. (I used to be a teacher). You could also compare the "traditional" graphic novel to books that are not considered "full" graphic novels, but have those elements and have been a big hit with readers for decades (e.g., Diary of a Wimpy Kid, Dork Diaries.
