What Romances Offer For Men

Discuss how the romance genre can offer not only an arguably untapped avenue of escapism for men but potentially also engage with and challenge young men's present-day struggles with masculinity and dating in the modern era.
While romance novels are typically considered 'by women, for women', catering primarily to women's sexual and romantic fantasies, is there room for the genre to be equally revealing for men, helping them healthily channel the issues of being desired and coming to terms with their own desires in turn, therefore saving them from the pipeline of male radicalisation and hostility that exists elsewhere in our culture?
