Shamefully I have only just binge-watched the whole series after it being added onto Netflix, and I am genuinely disappointed that I have only now just discovered this programme. I loved it and was so upset when it was left as it was with no further seasons! I keep telling everyone they need to watch. Loved the points and insights of this article.

I have loved Disney from before I can remember but all brilliant interesting thoughts and I could not of put it better myself. Enjoyable read.

I love this article and this film. In my final year I took an art and film module and for one of my essays I wrote about this film in connection to Nietzsche’s concept of will-to-power, I enjoyed writing it so much.

Yeah you’ve made a really valid point, have you ever read John Berger’s ‘Ways of seeing’. I’ve just finished it and I think it contains really strong essays that talk about how we see things and how we’ve been trained to see things.

What I meant by the quote is that it seems tradition and past has had a major impact on artists and art movements. The Renaissance period was inspired by Classics, whilst other art movements like Impressionism fought against the tradition of the past, breaking boundaries which we saw in Cubism and in today’s Conceptual movements (proving that paint to canvas is not the only way to create art). My point was that weather art is using traditional methods or breaking it’s boundaries, it is all center around the past.

I enjoyed this article and how you went through all series. I’ve never fully watched it all but only dipped in and out of it. But I agree most of of it is exaggerated but it’s a kinda love/hate relationship. It reminds me of One Tree Hill and despite the unrealistic aspects these teen shows do teach you something. Brilliant article 🙂
