Will Game of Thrones Inspire the Future of Television?Game of Thrones has seen incredible, groundbreaking success, such it has developed a devout following. The success is due to multiple factors. Two of which are duration and quality. The fact that GOT is indeed a television show instead of a film, allows characters to truly develop and grow. Films generally have a time limit of three hours to develop any characters. Films on the other hand, have quality that tv shows usually do not. Game of Thrones is able to connect these two aspects, tv show length for development and film like quality. Fans are able to become much more invested than other movies or shows. In the future, we can hope that other TV shows look to invest in the higher quality, and produce great shows like GOT.

The Effects of Violent Video Games: Blasting the Myth | |
Interesting and thought provoking article! Definitely changes the lens in which one views the show. This is important because people who don’t have the access to education can take T.V. or film as actual history. Well done. | A Hidden Racism in American Horror Story: Roanoke |
Great article! Unfortunately, I think that this system will be a flop as well. It seems that Nintendo is in a weird limbo stage right now. It is if they can’t decide if they want to go with the more motion sensor based Wii, or the more plain console base. I think the Wii was great, but it is time Nintendo created a console with a higher power level. Most Nintendo games don’t require too much power, but perhaps it would be great to see games that were made for a higher power level. The new Zelda game seems to be going in the direction, but I am afraid it will be limited because of the weak power of the Switch. Creating a mobile system just won’t allow these games to live up to their full potential. Nintendo will always have a special place in my heart and I am sure others as well. Many of us grew up playing Super Smash Bros, or Mario Kart 64 with our friends. I think Nintendo has tried to live in this nostalgia for too long. It is time they stepped up to the plate and rivaled Xbox and Playstation. | The Nintendo Switch: What It Needs To Succeed |
This is a great article that has been a problem for far too long. When acts of violence occur it seems that people look for something to blame, before actually trying to figure out what caused the violence. It was easy for older generations to blame violent video games because they simply didn’t have these games. They fear what they don’t know or understand. It is too easy to blame something that you do not have any experience with. It has always been frustrating seeing news blame violent video games when real experience has led to zero violent behavior. This is an important article that can be used to make connections with further problems. It seems that rock music, such as Marilyn Manson gets blamed. Hopefully in the future, people will learn to truly seek out the causes of violence, instead of immediately blaming certain things they don’t understand or agree with.
