You are very welcome! Welcome to the fandom, you’re in for a treat. Get ready for an obsession with floating kittens and a new appreciation for the Girl Scouts. | Welcome to Night Vale: When the Protagonist Isn't the Hero |
Whoops, that was obviously a reply to you, PerkAlert. Sorry about that. | Welcome to Night Vale: When the Protagonist Isn't the Hero |
Oh yes, Intern Maureen! I love Maureen Johnson’s books too (and her twitter, for that matter). Definitely check out Night Vale, literary isn’t the only norm it challenges. Happy listening! | Welcome to Night Vale: When the Protagonist Isn't the Hero |
You love your family. You. Love. Them. | Welcome to Night Vale: When the Protagonist Isn't the Hero |
It’s possible, especially because it’s a podcast, and the images you can conjure in your mind may be scarier than anything that can be put on screen. I will say, however, that Night Vale errs more on the side of “strange” than “scary.” It’s a weird comedy/horror mix. One minute, Cecil will be reporting on how everybody in town is turning into horrifying shadow creatures, and the next he’s off talking about his adorable, fluffy romance. If you’re interested, I would suggest starting in the day and maybe with a friend. | Welcome to Night Vale: When the Protagonist Isn't the Hero |
Oh, you are so very welcome! Welcome aboard, leave your writing utensils and belief in mountains at the door. | Welcome to Night Vale: When the Protagonist Isn't the Hero |
I would highly recommend it if you like things that are well-written and extremely strange. In the words of the creators, “turn on your radio and hide.” 🙂 | Welcome to Night Vale: When the Protagonist Isn't the Hero |
Thank you for commenting! WtNV is brilliant, I started listening and, in the words of Cecil, fell in love instantly.
