I love the article – I would love to see how your criteria extend to the new(ish) genre of zombie-comedy films like Zombieland and Shaun of the Dead. I think the criteria still seem to apply, especially the importance of likable characters! | What Makes a Good Zombie Movie? |
Loved both movies, especially This is the End – I thought the ending was brilliant and the humor was surprisingly consistent throughout. I actually think it would have been a bit better if they’d put less effort into the CGI, I thought it added to the ridiculousness and the humor of the film when the CGI was poorly done. But I definitely agree that these movies are a great sign – especially following the Hangover 3! | This Is the End & The Heat: A Sign of Hope for Comedy |
Love the article – absolutely hysterical! I think that there are a lot of 60s films that would definitely fit nicely into the list (a few Beatles films come to mind) and I think that Across the Universe might work too. I also want to say that I thought Eraserhead was a great and hilarious way to end the article!
