The Amity Affliction

The Australian metalcore band has released several albums over the past decade, notably "Chasing Ghosts" and "Let the Ocean Take Me". In both of these albums, many of their lyrics directly reference rivers, oceans, drowning, storms and sandy beaches. The usage of these themes are reminiscent of the storms of Shakespeare’s "King Lear" and "The Tempest". Analyze the strengths and weaknesses of water-related imagery in The Amity Affliction’s lyrics.
