Are Horror Movies Dying? With the rise of technology over the last decade, horror movies and the horror genre have drastically changed. Is this because of lazy writing and producing that relies on cheap jump scares or is it because modern technology has ruined the terror of isolation? One reason why horror movies worked so well in the past is because the technology we have today did not exist. You couldn’t just whip out your smartphone and go on Google Maps. If you forgot your wallet you had no money, period. You couldn’t pull out your phone and paywave instantly. The characters had no one and nothing to rely on except themselves. So what are your thoughts? Watch any past horror movie and pretend it’s set in 2018 and I can guarantee you the movie would be over within the first half an hour.

Why the How I Met Your Mother Series Finale was Actually Genius | |
Futurama is such an underrated show – the show had the entire universe to work with and everything in-between. I’m glad it ended the way it did. Futurama went out on a high note and did the entire series justice with the finale. The show left us with some of the most memorable and touching TV episodes ever: the seven leaf clover, the sting, Fry rearranging the stars to tell Leela he loved her, and yes the infamous Seymour episode. This show will always hold a special place in my heart. | Futurama: Gone Before Its Time? |
For me, nothing will beat the smell of a new book or the feeling of the pages against your fingertips. I’ve read E-Books before and my eyes just glaze over the words. I feel like a book really sucks me in and I feel somewhat protected or at ease when I carry a physical copy with me. | Online vs Print: The Digital Age of Books |
Love the article! Whenever I have writers block I feel it’s because I’ve lost focus on what I’m really meant to be doing, which is telling a story. I have to remind myself to never lose sight of the story, and when that happens, the ball starts rolling again. | Attention Writers: The Myth of Writer's Block |
This is an amazing article! While I am definitely on the side that believes that it should have been TedxTracy and BarneyxRobin, the answer for the show lies in the title. The show is called ‘HOW I Met Your Mother’, it doesn’t imply he stays with her for the rest of his life, and this is something the writers pointed out in an interview after the finale. Ted would never have met Tracy if he didn’t meet Robin, and he never would have ended up with Robin if it wasn’t for Tracy. The show is one big butterfly effect, but I do agree with you when you mentioned that everyone ends up with who they were meant to be with.
