i loved reading the small red book on fantastic beasts and where to find them, i was particularly drawn to the nundu as i thought it was so badass. I would love to see a film on this topic, however, I also have my reservations of whether the film will deliver. I was not particularly impressed with the last few movies, but maybe thats why I should just stick to the books, then again, there is no real plot line to the book so this film may work out better then the last few potter movies.

Hi, while I definitely see a close resemblance to our real and virtual selves, I see a gap because our virtual selves are structured on monocultural level. We can express our individuality but then it is still based on a structure that has been put in place by someone else or a company. Our ‘real’ selves are also in a sense structured by outer influences in society, I guess it becomes more apparent or visible when observing our virtual selves. Maybe our attitudes to both don’t diverge necessarily , we can just observe our virtual selves more clearly.

I loved reading this, while i am not familiar with the films I have already added them to my list for the next week.

Interesting article, I look forward to watching It Follows tonight. I was reading an essay in Stephen Princes book titled the Horror film, he suggest one motive for the glorification of virginity in Horror is as a means to assert traditional values in a society that has slowly been changing to a more proggressive view of sex. For him gender and the push for gender equality in the states at least, has left some directors to feel the need to assert their traditional views of sex, and women.
