This is awesome! Gaming is usually only looked at from a feminist perspective when surveying the industry as a whole, rarely within the minutiae of an individual game. Well done!
Thank you so much for the kind comment! This series gives me hope as well, even if Marvel still has some ways to go!
I can’t wait either! This season has some really interesting themes and characters, it’s going to be interesting to see where it goes.
Haha as a dude as well, I completely agree. There was actually an interview with the creators where they talk about a screening that did of the first few episodes with a group of kids. They asked the boys what they thought about Korra and none mentioned her gender just that she was awesome. So cool.
Thanks for the comment! You’re completely right, it is far less common. One of the many great things about YA, so many under represented people groups!
Jamie McKelvie is a god among other mere mortal comic book artists.
I don’t think anything was necessarily wrong with the old cast. Cassie was dead and Marvel told Kieron that Eli wasn’t available for him to use. As to make it not too white-dude heavily he just didn’t use Tommy, but kept the other four remaining members of the original team.
Totally and completely agree.
