    Rising Directors

    Hollywood can be difficult to break into, but yet there are new directors emerging every year. Examine directors from the past four years who have directed their first blockbuster film and the journey they took to get there.

    • The examples that come to mind are definitely Josh Trank and Colin Trevorrow, both of which were put at the helm of major, tentpole blockbusters with light resumes. Given how much media attention was put on Josh Trank's stumbles, it would be good to discuss the troubles that new directors face, and I would hope this article discusses the way race/gender biases come into play at such a key point in a director's career. – bbctol 8 years ago

    I love plot twists. Especially the ones that are so subtly done that, on a second read, you can see the little details that have hinted to what is coming.

    FNAF had a really interesting concept for a horror game. However, the movements of the robots became predictable and it just became stressful rather than frightening.
    As for the narrative, I’ve never really felt like one was there. I do find the theories interesting, but the hints of story that are there are so vague that any theory can be twisted to fit. To me, it seems as if there was never meant to be a story.
    You wrote a great piece either way.

    You’ve given some great points and examples about the struggle villains face. A lot of people see evil and good as being black and white, failing to really see what drives the villains to do what they do.

    		 Superhero Villains and their Struggle with Morality
