Date A Live Review

Date A Live is an anime that can take you on a roller coaster ride of emotions. One minute it can have you laughing and then at another moment it can have you on the edge of your seat with the drama involved.

Date A Live involves a high school boy named Itsuko Shido who become recruited by an organization to help them stop the space quakes that are happening in Japan. To do this he must make the spirits causing them to fall in love with him.

So watch Shido and the hilariousness he encounters with each spirit he comes across. Also watch how he flubs with his lack of dating skills which causes him to a little bit of trouble both good, bad, and of course very funny!

This show had its funny moment, dramatic moments, and also moments that made me very confused.

But this is my review and my take on the anime Date A Live. Some people may not like it but that’s okay. This is purely my opinion but I hope that everyone enjoys it. So read my review and also check out my YouTube video review as well to see what I thought of this anime.

  • A minor error: second paragraph first sentence, I believe that the word 'become' should be 'is'. – mattdoylemedia 8 years ago

  • I would like to offer a few correction suggestions. In paragraph two, I would say that Itsuko Shido is recruited; in the second sentence I would say: he must make the spirits fall in love with him. In paragraph three--line three: ... of trouble, good, bad and very funny! You said his lack of dating skills causes him a little bit of trouble (both); you mention three items; therefore, both is not appropriate. In paragraph four, you left an "s" off of the first moment(s). In the fifth paragraph, you begin by saying But... I would have begun the paragraph with "This." In the last sentence, I don't think you need the phrase as well. – liztroi69 8 years ago

Who Is Your Current Anime Crush

I’m sure at one time or another you’ve found yourself crushing on an anime character. Yes I know it sounds so strange to those that didn’t know it was possible, but yes it is.

So who are they? Are you only crushing on one or are there multiple? Are the character(s) from an anime your currently watching or is it a character(s) that you’ve always obsessed over? Do you have a specific type of character(s) that you go for or is the range limitless. Is it hard for you to choose just one? Well then go ahead and choose a minimum of 4 but no more than 10.

Yes I know that can be difficult if you have a lot and it’s like trying to choose your favorite child. But believe me it can be done. This author likes 2 characters from Kuroko’s Basketball, a certain character from Death Parade, and a certain demon from Inuyasha. So don’t hesitate and start thinking. If you’ve never thought about it then here’s your chance. So start that thinking and generate a list! I’m sure that inquiring minds want to know. Also please no fighting over characters. There are plenty to go around.

  • I had a list once upon a time. I have major anime crushes on Levi and Eren from Attack on Titan. I'm a big fan of Van from Vision of Escaflowne, too. Those are the main ones from the top of my head. – Jordan 8 years ago

Spirited Away: Change as a Positive Force

I think the perception of maturity when it comes to anime comes from what animes are mainstream since those are the ones that most people have seen or heard of. I mean if you tell someone you watch anime their usual reaction or what they think is anime is typically Pokemon, Naruto, Sailor Moon, or animes that are typically geared towards children. It’s a terrible thought but I think that’s why. But since now you do have so many different online sources and also steaming services such as Netflix and Hulu who show anime it has widen many people’s perception of maturity when it comes to anime.

Perceptions of Maturity in Anime

For one of my friends the first show I had her watch was Ouran High School Host Club and she loved it. She doesn’t really watch anime now but it was a great anime to show her why I like it.
