Time-Period Drama TelevisionAlthough most of todays time-period drama's are fiction—Call the Midwife, Downton Abbey, Reign, Peaky Blinders ect—just how accurate are they? I love the feeling that I am witnessing something similar to past times and learning a bit of history, but are we being fooled? I am curious to how much of the fashion, language, visual surroundings, politics, events and controversies are true to the time and place of the storylines.

Intriguing and haunting. Her inner demons took her life and yet here she is reborn in the fame of her photos, as if asking for us to see HER. Beautiful. Thanks for sharing! | The Art of Francesca Woodman: Haunting, Evocative, Personal |
I always appreciate writers who take the time to write about cultural/controversial issues and differences, even if coming from an outsiders point of view. Now I am curious to see this movie! | 200 Pounds Beauty: South Korea's Plastic Surgery Industry |
The glory of books is that they come in genres and styles. Not every genre will be for everyone. I have nothing against FanFiction—yes I read the first 50 Shades and thought a 6th grader could have written better—however, as long as the repetition of characters and concepts evolve into something of the authors OWN, then I see no harm 🙂
