    The Focus of Pokemon Games

    The Pokémon franchise has captivated audiences worldwide from generation to generation. But what is it about Pokémon that has captivated the people for all these years? Is it the characters within the game, the story plot, the setting, or the phrase "gotta catch 'em all"? Each Pokémon game consisted on having a focus ( a representation on what the game is about). Analyze each game of Pokémon and discuss what these games are talking about.

    • Interesting topic! Perhaps it's the desire for young people (or anyone of any age, really) to travel and adventure. I know more than a handful of people with wanderlust. And to top it all off, there's success as a champion at the end. – ChristinaGilbert 8 years ago

    • I would also consider how Game Freak balances the popular appeal of Pokemon with the international competitive battling community. They need to have cute and cool Pokemon that are fun to use in the story, and they also need to energize and maintain a diverse meta-game. – bshoalz 8 years ago

    • Pokemon is always an interesting topic to tackle. I'd say, when attempting to answer the question of why Pokemon has such a massive appeal, you will need to take pretty much everything you can think of into consideration. Not just the games themselves and their stories, but the art styles they incorporate, the human desire for collecting and completion, and of course Pokemon as a franchise, and how it has been marketed throughout the years. – Yanni 7 years ago

    I don’t play the Kingdom Hearts games, but I do watch the walkthroughs and cutscenes on YouTube. The gameplay, graphics, and storyline fascinates and intrigues me every time with each new release or re-release. I am a huge fan of Kingdom Hearts and the creators of this franchise have made something that will be remembered for years to come.
    Who’s ready for the release of Kingdom Hearts 2.8? I know I am!

    I have been a fan of the Pokémon franchise for a long time. I currently have the new game Pokémon Sun (awesome game, by the way). This game has an added feature in which the trainer can care for their Pokémon, such as feeding them, petting them, and brushing them, making the bondage between them stronger.
    The way I see it, Pokémon always focuses on the themes of connection and bonds between humanity and Pokémon, something that the people should consider. There are those who see their pets more than just pets and there are those who see animals as a way of profit.
    I think Pokémon explains how important bonds are to every living thing on the planet.

    I love this article! I’ve never thought about Snow White in a way like that. I’ve always admired her for her kindness and compassion, but it never occurred to me about her endurance she faced from her stepmother. I wouldn’t last in Snow White’s shoes.
    I find Tiana from “The Princess and the Frog” to be the most influential princess of all time. She is not going to stand by and wait for prince charming to come nor is she giving up her dream when people are saying it’s over for her. She strives to do hard work and strives to make her dream a reality.
    Other than that, great article.

    I absolutely love this article! The part about Snow White is something that never occurred to me. I’ve always admired her for her kindness and compassion, but I have never thought about her strong endurance that she faced from her stepmother. I wouldn’t last if I was in Snow White’s shoes.
    I find Tiana from “The Princess and the Frog” the most influential princess of all time. She shows that she is not going to stop her dream of owning her own restaurant just because people told her give up. She works hard and she strives to make that dream of hers a reality.
