While I quietly wait for a really good excuse to go on an interstate mayhem spree, I read comics and watch movies. While I do the "writing" here, my wife makes it readable.

MLP is a great book, but I don’t think most of the readers are kids either. Much of the ‘all-ages’ stuff that is popular tends to be licensed stuff, and those kinds of properties are usually well established. This means any built in audience is already past kid age.
I started on Cerebus with issues 18′ and was immediately hooked.
While the last third of the series is not for everyone, the collected work’s brilliance cannot be ignored.
I read Northlanders a while back, but honestly just forgot about it while writing this.
It is an excellent series.
The day after the show I get really bummed.
I start counting the days until next time.
Drives the wife nuts!
I was going to poo poo this article for not being larger/longer. Surely there are more than 3? But really, you don’t need anymore than these three. The lists in the comments don’t really cover it either. Reign is just Dark Knight Returns for Spidey, Torment will never be taken seriously since McFarlane himself will never be again unfortunately, and really the only story that is both critical to Spidey and not on this list is Blue by Loeb and Sale. But even it touches on other parts of the story and retells them (wonderfully so, but still)
this was a very nice article, thanks.
I have yet to see the film, but my interest in sound and it’s effect in film coupled with this very good article means I will be seeing it soon.
While is didn’t enjoy the film as much as the comic, this was an amazing movie.
Nice article, thanks.
I am WAY behind on the book. o think I have the last 3 trades to read yet, and I am just hoping there is an endgame planned at this point.
It has not been the kind of book so far that I just want to be along for the ride anymore. Too many of those kinds of books have bitten me in the last few months.
