Very interesting read, I love Johnny Depp. My favourite movie has to be Edward Scissorhands because I totally agree about how well he conveys his emotions by hardly saying a word. I am looking forward to seeing The Lone Ranger but I think his role as Tonto will just remind me too much of Jack Sparrow. Well done.

Johnny Depp’s Best Roles: ‘Fugget-aboutit’ to ‘Savvy’

I enjoyed reading your article, I did English in college and university and all the books I read were heavily masculine. I even studied the module ‘Masculinity’ where we looked at James Bond and Fight Club, to name a few. I was bored reading about the same hegemonic male, time to read about something else I think!

You really should! As a female I find it inspiring to watch active women that you can actually see grow on the big screen. Really nice contrast to the passive women that that we are constantly fed with.

I agree, True Romance is one of my favourites, brilliant. Especially for one of his first ever movies! I think it is one of those films that you need to watch a few times to appreciate, great cast too!

You really need to watch Kill Bill soon! I have only recently watched it too as I have neglected it for so long as it didn’t seem my cup of tea… I have now watched it four times in like a month! True Romance is a hidden gem too with a great soundtrack (what Tarantino film doesn’t have great music?!)

I didn’t even know that Family Guy was cancelled! Goes to show how strong it is now (not to mention my favourite- American Dad), quite fascinating really. I haven’t really heard of the others, but still an insightful read.

Most certainly agree with Nicolas Cage being at number one! I love him in Con Air, but I have seen some trash after that! And Adam Sandler certainly has been in some awful films, the first one springing to my mind is Jack and Jill! Although I do love The Wedding Singer. Jennifer Aniston comes to my mind because she was a legend during the F.R.I.E.N.D.S era but some of the films she has done since then are awful! Good article!
