TV vs NetflixEveryone I know, excluding my old-school parents, have subscriptions to one or many subscription-based movie/TV show sites. Netflix, Hulu, HBO, etc. They all seem to more or less run the world. It matters so much to us when they take down well-loved series or put up a hot, new movie. But how, if at all, is this effecting cable companies, and people who refuse to give up their commercial-ridden television? Will television become obsolete to Smart Televisions that do not use cable?

Paper Mario's Vivian: Transgender Done Right | |
Very informative article, it presented ideas that upon first watch I would not have initially picked up on. I love when artists create media which is thoughtful, insightful, and full of introspective messages. | This is America: Exploring Lyrical and Visual Symbolism |
This article does a wonderful job of giving the importance of why censorship does more harm than good. The fear that drives censorship is based in the people who have no interest in reading and knowing the actual content and impact of a piece of literature. They would rather not open their own minds to new information and fresh perspectives, or even simply different perspectives than their own. | Why Books Shouldn't Be Banned |
Thousand Year Door was one of my favourite games growing up. I would have never known Vivian was originally a man because she was always a ‘she’ to me and I never questioned that.
Knowing that she is transgender is very significant and I wish that the representation would have been clearer in the US version. I think the game is super clever and the Japanese version definitely has hidden gems that did not translate into the US version.
