You’re right about the photographs, it was a little hard to get the sizes right! I’ll know it all for the next article though. Thank you, that’s so encouraging! | The Photographs of Martin Mischkulnig: The Bland and the Beautiful |
I’ve been meaning to get into Firefly for a while too, I’ve seen the first episode and that was enough to get me interested! Great article, really easy to read, and very interesting! I too wasn’t aware that shows like Family Guy were once cancelled, they’re so popular! | 6 Shows That Found Life After Cancellation |
Wow, thanks so much! Unfortunately there aren’t many images from the actual Smalltown series online, but if you can get your hands on a copy to have a look at I would really recommend it! | The Photographs of Martin Mischkulnig: The Bland and the Beautiful |
Great article, I too find these types of performance art so fascinating, but kind of hard to swallow. The performance artist Mike Parr came to Hobart, Australia and did a work in the museum there years ago [Hobart was a blank canvas for works such as these before David Walsh opened Mona’s doors], and people are still discussing it to this day. Certainly gets people’s attention! | Body of Sedition: Yang Zhichao and Art that Hurts |
Very true! Perhaps one of the reasons we [I know it’s true for me anyway] are sometimes fascinated and attracted to these places/structures could be related to feeling sorry for them in some way? Just a thought anyway! | The Photographs of Martin Mischkulnig: The Bland and the Beautiful |
Thanks! That’s a really good perspective, and one that I hadn’t really thought about since I’ve always been wary about my bias point of view! I’ll be definitely looking at things with this in mind in the future! | The Photographs of Martin Mischkulnig: The Bland and the Beautiful |
Great article, you’ve pointed out a few things that I hadn’t really thought of before!
